I have been using iolites since January 2009 to vapourise tobacco. I find this a very satisfatory alternative to smoking. I get through about an ounce of pipe tobacco a week (about £5). I was previously smoking 20 cigarettes a day which equates to £40 a week, so over the course of a year its saved me a lot of money and improved my health. I also now have a much better social life because there are no restrictions on using it inside bars, cinemas etc.The product has been progressively improved and refined since it was launched in 2008. I've found the early models were a bit unreliable and I've had to send several units back to the Oglesby & Butler for replacement. This has never been a problem - fast, efficient, polite after sales service, and the latest replacement units which I have received are far more robust and reliable than the early models. However I received a circular from Oglesby & Butler several weeks ago stating that they would no longer honour the warranty on units purchased from unauthorised dealers. I suggest therefore that you purchase directly from GotVape.com or MyIolite.com. It's a little more expensive (£157 as against £120), but at least you can be assured that you are buying the very latest model, and that any warranty problems will be avoided in the future. I've found the most pleasant tobacco to be Gold Block ready rubbed pipe tobacco. Dry it out on a tray, grind it up and away you go. |
