The only issue we've had is breaking the mouthpiece or whip. It's the low-tech version, a dial used to guess the temp, takes a while to heat up, but all in all, it does what it's supposed to. My wife runs it pretty hot, and seems to be very effective. It will get hot enough, eventually, to light the product in the bowl. Parts are easily purchased from your neighborhood smoke shop. Since there is only one part to deal with, the whip has the bowl, it's easy for my wife to use herself. It heats up super fast (2-5 minutes), and I particularly find the 40 degree-angled heating element convinient to use with a standard glass whip. For a standard vaporizer, I would highly recommend this unit above other vaporizers. My advice, save up your money and buy a better unit. Bag vapes allow more of the vapor to resonate on the bag. Turn it up all of the way and then back about an 1/8th of an inch. The trick is learning how to watch the blend and get it as close to combustion as you can without actually burning it. Twisting your wand and stirring your blend half way through will knock you on your back. After a a few days of experimenting you should be able to get it just right. I got my vaporizer in January of this year (2010) and as an avid body builder I have really noticed the difference in my lungs. I don't have Lung butter anymore! I couldnt wait to get to my house to try it out, and to also show it to my room mate. I got home, opened it up, and was somewhat confused about turning it on. There was no traditional "Switch" to turn it on, but instead I had to turn the nob to the 12 oclock postion to activate it. I later found out that is fairly common to not have a switch on box units. It turned it to the recommened setting, and waited a good while for it to heat up all the way. It took nearly 10 minutes! That was a very big turn off for me, and after vaping out of it, It wasnt a high quality vapor. At this point, our only vaporizing experience was with my Hot Box, Cubivore. The heat-up time is wonderful, but I'm not such a fan of the angled design. I've found that this increases the risk of the herbal remedy making direct contact with the heating element, thereby risking burning, which defeats the purpose of vaporizers in the first place. The look of the unit was very simple yet looked cool. If I owned the unit I would have it out on display =) It heated up in about 5 minutes and produced a great vapor! The only thing I did not like is that it is a standard unit which means you have to hold the whip to the unit while you vaporize. I read that it comes with a 3 year warranty which is another plus. And i must say I've used the two latter vaporizers and the vaporking works just as good or even better than the vapor bros. and vapordoc/cannon. It was delivered within two days via UPS just like gotvape.com said it would get here. It was package quite nicely and came with the vaporizer, whip, instruction, sticker, and warranty card. The vaporizer itself is ceramic with stainless steel covering encased in a glass sheath for a glass on glass vaporizing experience with great taste. I get pretty massive hits from this vaporizer which gets me extremely blazed. The whip is also a made of glass apart from the vinyl tubing and it is pretty sturdy and heavy-duty. The vape box itself is finely crafted from wood and has an temperature adjustment nob. The aesthetics to this unit are amazing. It has really nice worked glass and a colored bottom. I like that its standard too because you can twist your whip as you take your draw. I first saw the Silver Surfer in Harold an Kumar Escape from Guantanemo Bay. It sparked my interest because it made it to the big screen. I never used it but then once seeing the world Famous Snoop Dogg using it I knew I had to give it a try. I was at a local smoke shop who had the unit. It did take me a while to find a shop with it though. Lots of shops were out and waiting on a shipment. (popular??) So I found the one in Hollywood at Mikes Smoke Shop. I rushed home and burned off all the Packing oils grinded my blend and turned the cool little glass dial. My first impression of it was not so well because I had to hold the whip against the heating element the whole time. I did get a good vape though. Flavor was rich and it did make me feel a lot better. I heard about some accesories for the unit So I called up GotVape and inquired about the accessories and found out about the Hands free sleeve attachment called Ride the Wave. One of the Reps also told me about one of the positives of it being a standard unit is that when you are vaping to turn the whip in a 360 degree motion to loosen up the blend and it gives better air flow. So I tried it and they were right.
