Magic Flight Launch Box Vaporizer Hot

Magic Flight Launch Box Vaporizer
Vaporizer Price: $51 - $100
Vaporizer Type: Portable Vaporizer
Vaporizer Manufacturer: BlissSville

Magic Flight Portable Vaporizer Overview

The Magic Flight Portable Vaporizer is manufactured by BlissSville Inc. in the United States.

This Vaporizer was introduced to the Vaporizer Market in 2010. The Magic Flight is direct inhalation portable vaporizer that uses an inefficient copper plated steel rods combined with a rechargeable battery to achieve the desired Vaporization Level.

Magic Flight Portable Vaporizer Ease of Use

I used the included instructions to assemble the Magic Flight and try to start the Vaporization process with some difficulty.

First and foremost, not only is the outer shell of this unit is made out of thin birch wood, the flimsy vaporization compartment cover is acrylic, thus I almost broke it off while loading my blend. This unit’s rechargeable battery only allows for a maximum of 4 to 8 draws before needing to be replaced.

The mouthpiece is extremely fragile, almost falling out of place during the testing process. I do feel that the Magic Flight might seem a bit confusing to users at first due to all of the low grade parts and restrictions that accompany this unit. After a few minutes of testing and changing the rechargeable batteries, I was finally able to get the Magic Flight to produce a visible Vapor.

Magic Flight Vaporizer Heat up Time

The Magic Flight Vaporizer has an average warm-up time of under one minute. I advise patrons to be aware that if you keep the battery connected to the base of the unit for an extended period of time, it will cause your blend to combust. Please use extreme caution if you have this Vaporizer because this is a major fire hazard!

Magic Flight Vaporizer Efficiency / Effectiveness

I tested the Magic Flight with different volumes of blend in the herb chamber; I only achieved a light, barely visible amount of vapor after taking slow, steady, breaths. I was not impressed with the Vapor quality that the Magic Flight provides there was an unnatural burnt taste with each draw, even when I removed the battery quickly after each application.

Magic Flight Vaporizer Warranty

Each Magic Flight Vaporizer comes with a Lifetime manufacturer’s warranty that is restricted to normal use. However, I’m not confident that this warranty is valid due to poor contact information provided from the manufacturer.

Magic Flight Vaporizer Overall Satisfaction

The Magic Flight Vaporizer is not worth the asking price of $99.99. It is basically box of wood with a screen attached to wires that contacts a battery to create heat. I would not recommend this unit to Vaporizer Patrons because the Magic Flight is difficult to successfully operate, the Vapor quality, when not burnt, is average at best, and not to mention, the battery life is horrible.

There are other Portable units which are more manageable and a better value like the iolite vaporizer, Vapir No2 vaporizer, and Oxygen Mini vaporizer.

hippie tinder box

0 of 0 people found the following review helpful
Everyone seems to recommend this thing so I decided on it over the vapor genie. With the genie you have to use a lighter which seems not right. To be honest, it wasnt bad I'm pretty stoked on it. It has an old school hippie look which is why my dads old school friends thought it was the coolest tool at the bbq.

Magic flight is a great deal for what it does. Most portable vapes can be very expensive and If your looking for an affordable vape magic flight is on point. You can use this anywhere, and that makes it an amazing piece.

waste of herb. i dunno why people are so in love with this thing. the mflb guys are whack and have made a ton of money off an inferior product.

this isn't vaporization. try a volcano/extremeq and tell me again how the mflb is a vaporizer

sort of a vaporizer?

0 of 0 people found the following review helpful
i've only tried two vaporizers and the other one just recently
this one, which i own, and the thermovape which i just tried
as far as quality is concerned, there's no comparison. the thermovape is like 200x better

the thing is though the price of the magic flight box is really, really low.
the magic flight is $130 cheaper than the thermovape.. and that price difference shows
because this is a vaporizer in the easiest sense - i compare it to a low power toaster that you use your breath/battery adjustment to maintain temperature. it otherwise burns your bud and you might as well have spent you $120 on an awesome bong.

for health reasons, i prefer some other ones i've tried.
for discrete/portable/money reasons, you could do worse than the magic flight

reddit wasn't wrong

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful
So I use reddit and if you've ever been to r/trees, it's a bunch of people who love the MFLB. I won't pretend it's the easiest thing I've ever used - I also own the iolite and the WISPR and those are much easier to use than the MFLB. But what's good about this is the price and the stealthiness. When I go out somewhere, I pack the MFLB. When I'm at home, I use the WISPR. I just read "vapedude's" review below mine and I thought that was a fair assessment. I've never even been to vaporpedia so I plan on going there and I'll post a follow up review if anything changes

Great for the Price

3 of 3 people found the following review helpful
So my buddy got one of these and had me try it. We spent a good 30 minutes figuring out how to use the thing, but once we got the hang of it, it wasn't a problem at all. The thing is, it definitely has a learning curve and I can't even be 100% sure we're doing it perfectly, which is why it gets 2/5 from me for Ease of Use.

Time to heat up can't be beat except that it heats up too fast, too quickly - so quickly that it'll burn your medicine if you aren't careful. 4/5 because it doesn't maintain a constant temperature like other portable vapes out there do.

Just want to reiterate here that I'm not 100% sure I'm doing it perfectly (I'm following the instructions on vaporpedia.com). The thing is, I'm a chronic smoker so I need at least an entire trench to myself to feel properly medicated. Another thing is, as a previous bong-smoker, so I've been conditioned to think that I need to see some vapors while medicating. That's a knock on me and not the vape though, so for lighter users, this may very well be amazing, which is why I'm giving this a 3/5.

I think the warranty on this guy is life time so that gets a 5/5 no questions asked.

Overall, my buddy is happy with the thing. There are better ones out there but not for the price. I consider it a great entry vape but there are some really amazing vapes out there and that's not even taking in to account the ones I haven't tried. 4/5 for newbies, 3/5 for me.

Stealthy

0 of 0 people found the following review helpful
This might be the stealthiest of the portables. I took it snowboarding last weekend and used it when I was chilling at the tables having a beer. I doubt anyone saw it especially with my glove on... it disappeared. My friend had the iolite and tried to do the same, but you can still hear it a little. The launch box did the trick.

Hash oil. Nuffield said.

If you need more battery power faster, use the Duracell 15min charger.

More importantly, after using this MFLB daily the stem turned dark brown. Turned out to be 100% honey hash oil. A blend of all the flavors of nuggets I had vapid.

MFLB

With all of the new small accessories and items for the MFLB, one would be remiss not to own one.
Although I use my batteries often, I am loving the new power adapter that lets you go with straight juice, and a variable thermostat!. The wooden stems are a blast, and the MFLB sized grinders are terrific too!

I was skeptical about this unit at first, because of the back & forth feedback I've read on multiple review sites, but I recently purchased one at my local collective. Being at a high altitude, the iolite was not a valid choice for me. So I looked at the No2, which was a little too bulky for myself (even tho I've read many positive reviews on this vaporizer, as well as heard amazing feedback from people who have used the unit before). The Magic Flight, which I obviously chose. & The Vapor Genie, I didn't really think using a lighter would work for me all the time. So I ended up with the Magic Flight. I love that it comes with 2 rechargeable batteries. It's practically palm sized, & it works almost anywhere, anytime. The vapor quality is amazing, granted you know how to work the damn thing, & you don't burn your product haha. The reason I gave this a 2 for ease of use is because this unit is a bit tricky to master. But other than that, if you're looking for a small, portable, discreet & quality vaporizer with an amazing warranty, this is the one for you!

Magic Flight better than expected

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful
I recently purchased the magic flight. I didn't know what to expect because I've heard all types of reviews both good and bad. I like this unit. It is the smallest portable on the market. I will admit it doesn't look very high tech, but its great for its size. It heats up fast, it has a lifetime warranty which I really like, it doesn't use butane like an iolite, but does need to be charged and I think since this unit is new there is some battery issues. I feel like it holds my charge less and less as i use it, but I'm telling you it hits great and I felt the effects immediately. All in all I will give it a thumbs up.

A great portable

3 of 3 people found the following review helpful
My friend got the Magic Flight a few months ago, and couldn't quite get the hang of it, so he let me take it off his hands. I love this thing, it works great for me. The unit comes with 2 rechargeable batteries, and a carrying case and heats up in seconds! You can see the vapors collecting in the chamber while holding the battery in, I just make sure that I let it cool down for a second before I use it. Otherwise you could burn yourself. This is a great unit and I take it everywhere with me.

2nd times the charm?

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful
To start, I purchased a Magic Flight Launch Box about 6 months ago. After about about of week of trying to get a decent vapor out of it, I could not. I tried to return the unit for another, but the store said they would be out of stock for awhile (poor service from manufacturer.) Instead, I was offered store credit for the unit, and dished out the extra 80$ for a No2, which is an excellent unit.

So about 2 weeks ago, a friend of mine purchased a Magic Flight, against my advice. We opened it up at my house and we gave it a go. I was VERY happy with the improvement over my previously owned unit. The unit did not undergo any changes since I owned one months ago, but it seemed like it(maybe mine was defective?). The vapor was surprisingly dense, considering its coming from this little wood box. The Launch Box heats up fairly quick, but is pretty awkward having to hold a AA battery up to the unit. Speaking of the batteries, they are rechargeable, with charger included. I must say the batteries do die somewhat quick, but 2 are included with every unit so its not to bad. For 100$, its not to bad of a choice.

Majic Flight

This unit I do not own but have used it about two times with a friend. The ease of use on this unit appeared to be very difficult. Not user friendly at all in my opinion. The battery on this unit through me for a total loop. battery only allows for a maximum of 4 to 8 draws before needing to be replaced. I would have to say that i will pass on this unit

Does the job

0 of 0 people found the following review helpful
Firstly, you can't compare this to the VaporGenie or the Lolite. Those are larger and require a flame. You taste the butane. I also read a lot of reviews before I purchased my Magic Flight Box and those didn't have very good reviews. I have a VaporGenie and it sucks! I only used it a couple of times and I hate it. Tastes like flame. Couldn't even turn it into a regular pipe either.

Ok, for me the Magic Flight Box it really shines when I am away from home. When I am at my sister's house, I'll pull it out in the open while she leaves the room for a few minutes, hold my breath and then exhale after she returns. No smoke, no breath mints for my breath, etc. No one suspects anything. I can also go into a restroom, like on a bus, and do a few vapes, then walk back down the aisle still holding my breath. Not so great at home though. Not the same kind of effect. But this is exactly what I was looking for when I purchased the MFB. It works perfect for that reason and does a good job getting me vaped discretely.

As far as quality, I have never seen vapor when I exhaled. The taste is ok on the first couple of hits. I usually hold the battery in longer than 5 minutes before my hit because I want as dense vapor as possible. By that time I get a burnt taste, still without vapor, which means you are getting a vapor holding the battery in for less time prior. I have the quick charge unit, so charging isn't a problem. But it does work.

I do wish I could get a denser vapor, even if it means getting only 2 hits off of one load. No comparison to a larger non-portible vaporizer. But this is great as a healthy alternative to one hitters/etc. No comparison to a bong either, even though the people at Magic Box say it is. I love it for what it is.

As I said before, you can't compare it to a Vapor Genie or Lolite. Lotite is huge plus it had bad reviews.

Magically Flying with the Magic Flight

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful
I'm very happy with my magic flight. Although the vapors produced are particularly light, I still enjoy how easy it is to use as well as it's portability. I carry it with me no matter where I'm at. Because of the small size, it makes it really easy & not too bothersom in my pocket.

Always chose on the basis of LOVE

4 of 4 people found the following review helpful
I have been using the Magic Flight exclusively for the better part of six months. Only now am I beginning to have to roll joints or borrow someones bong to get super high. I still get high from vaping but not to the same extent as I can with real smoke.
The coolest thing about the magic flight is how much less product I use. The leftover vaped weed can be used to make pretty decent edibles too! NO LIGHTER NEEDED! That is a big deal, iolites have burnt my hand while I was exploring my consciousness. The magic flight is speedy, stealthy, and well built. I have used in public almost all over Portland. Most people have no idea what you are doing with a block of wood and a battery up to your mouth. The lifetime warranty it boasts makes me feel better about my purchase.
While the magic flight is great for concealment, it is just too small to be used all the time. At home, it is a very involved process. Charge batteries, grind product, carefully load vape, puff....puff....puff....puff, unload, change batteries, reload. I need something that can deliver bigger hits for home use. The batteries I purchased with the unit are pretty tuckered out now. So there is also the expense of a new $5 battery every now and then.
When used as a sidekick, the Magic Flight is amazing. Single handedly the best portable vape I have every used! The magic flight is no protagonist though. Best used for a cameo, magic flight can deliver astounding performances.

Great little vap

4 of 4 people found the following review helpful
what I've noticed here is that Magic flight seems to be getting a lot of bad press here compared to other reviews I've read, and more importantly to my own experience. This thing is great, maybe just not as foolproof as others. It vaps very quickly and effectively and have never once had combustion. The fact that the Vap starts in 3-5 seconds is great but it also means its more prone to user error. If you wait a few seconds too long it will get too hot. I press the battery, count to 5 seconds and hold the battery till the count reaches 12-15 and continue to draw beyond that. Its simple, well designed, very durable and super stealth. No lighter or butane is a big plus. Batteries last surprisingly long. Highly recommended, especially for the price.

The magic flight is a pretty cool vaporizer, its easy to use, provides a good vape, and best of all it fits in your pocket. It comes with two rechargable batteries so your always ready to go, and how could complain about a lifetime warranty. The magic flight is a good low cost portable vaporizer but nothing eles.

Not a Vape

3 of 4 people found the following review helpful
First off this contraption is cool. Very geniusly put together. It is small and fits in your palm or pocket. Not too many pieces but does have about 3. It has a glass piece which I have yet to break. I have dropped it many times but no breakage as of yet.
It heats up really fast. One bad thing is it gives you an itty bitty vape. I have also burnt my blend many times with this vape. It is called a vaporizer but do not know if it is truly classified under vaporization. What I learned when I got a tutorial at a local expo about vaporizing is that it will not burn if it is vaping. So the fact that my stuff burned I'm not quite sure if it’s a vaporizer. I’m not dissatisfied just a little bit up in the air about it. Please help if anyone has any great ideas for me.

4 of 4 people found the following review helpful
I understand the negative review from people who used the box only a few times. There is a bit of a learning curve. Even when used properly, you may get some bits of herb a bit more thoroughly cooked than other bits, unlike the best non-portable devices which are easier to use and slightly more efficient.

On the other hand, the box is incredibly small, very stealth (because there's little smell and no flame), fairly efficient, and you can control the temperature. It's fairly cheap, too, considering the lifetime warranty. I much prefer using a battery over a lighter with some other portables. Lighters get hot and are dangerous, and people can see the flame if it's dark. One battery is good for at least one session for one person.

My advice is to start with a very fine grind and a freshly charged battery. Insert battery for 3 seconds, inhale slowly for 5 seconds, remove battery, keep inhaling for another 5 seconds, flip the box over and shake, repeat until it tastes like burnt popcorn.

Go for the Genie instead

2 of 6 people found the following review helpful
I purchased this unit from a local smoke shop here in NYC, and I am sad to say I am greatly dissapointed. The first time I saw the Magic Flight, (lets refer to it as the MF from here on) I was puzzeled on how it works. After some in-store demostations, I bought it for some reason. I usually do alot of research before making somewhat big purchases, but I didnt this time, And I now have to face the consequences. The unit is just so cheap. Its a little wood box with a battery that dies, what seems like, every 10 mminutes. When I first tried the unit, I couldnt even get any vapor out of it, so I held the battery down longer than I previously was. Thats when my herbal blend ignited and burned! The unit went from not working at all, to becoming a fire-throwing death trap! I tried to return the unit to the store which I purchased it from, and they wouldnt re-fund me or even give me store credit, but I can understand why. After browsing thier selection of low-cost vapes, I stummbled across the Genie and purchased one. Its a night and day difference between the two of them. Overall, for 100$, this unit is a complete waste. Even if the unit was only half the price at 50$ I would still not purchase it again. I probably would not even accept this unit for free it it was a gift. DO NOT PURCHASE!

I tried my friends Magic Flight last week and i couldnt be more disappointed. First off it burnt up all our blend and my mouth. Im not even sure if you can call this a vaporizer. Im just glad I didnt spend any money on this junk. If the price point is what your looking for check out the Vapor Genie or get an No2.

Out with the Magic Flight in with the No2

I've owned my Magic Flight for 4 months and I'm glad that chapter in my life is over.

At first, it was cool having such a small portable unit. However, I got annoyed with constantly having to charge the batteries.

Long story short, I sold my magic flight to a friend for $75, then I took that money and bought me that new Vapir No2, I'm loving the temp memory recall and auto shut off feature with my No2.

I couldn't be happier because I feel like the MFL is more of an entry level piece compared to the higher end portable vapes.

Magic Flight vs the Vapor Genie

0 of 1 people found the following review helpful
I recently attended a festival in Northern California where I had the opportunity to try the Magic Flight and the Vapor Genie first hand.

I used the magic flight for a minute and I did a decent amount of Vapor flow. However, the other reviews are correct about encountering a combustible taste if you hold the battery too long. I enjoyed my Magic Flight experience but when I found out the price, over $100, it didn't add up.

I switched to the Vapor Genie & encountered the same amount of Vapor flow without having to carry around re-chargeable batteries. The salesman told me they were $55 so naturally I bought the Genie.

To sum my Magic Flight trial up, I think the unit does work, but I can't justify paying that much money for a piece of wood, copper, and a re-chargeable battery. Go with Genie if price is important to you, or just get the iolite.

These other review seem very biased

First and fore most i would like to say that I have owned the mflb for over a year now. By no means am i claiming to be a vaporizer expert i have used 3 other vapes beside the mflb and I believe it to be greatly superior to the others (iolite, Volcano, and silver surfer.) also it is not made by blissville which is a great site which happened to be for some time an exclusive carrier of this product. the mflb did not hit the market in 2010 it began beta testing in 2006 and was for sale by 2007. Also it is not just an electrified screen it uses infrared heat to evenly heat the herb. If the lid broke off your vaporizer then you must have thrown it against the floor as hard as u could. I have accidentally stepped on it many times and no damage has be done. I will not lie the mflb does have a learning curve to it for me it took about 8 minutes to figure out how fast to draw in order to create vapor like any other vaporizer. Also it reaches vaporizing temperature in under 5 secs. I find it funny that you are able to light your herbal blend on fire but not able to get any vapor. If i remember correctly vaporization happens at a much *lower* temp than combustion. As in regrades to the warranty have lost a battery and broken mouth piece (got caught in a door jam) both replaced free of charge (I paid the shipping to my residence only 3.50) I wouldn't call that normal use but they were nice enough to just replace them. I advise that if you want a portable vape go check out www.fuckcombustion.com they have 100's of glowing reviews for the mflb. not like this site which just has 3 reviews of questionable validity. I love my mflb and if someone were to steal it i would gladly buy it again.

This is not a vaporizer, I burnt the hell out of my mouth!! And my Lungs hate me more then when I was smoking. I thought alright cool I have something I can take anywhere and dont have to mess with a lighter and all that. Well this is such a waste of money, I cannot believe I spent $100.00 on such junk!!!

Dont get this if you are trying to vaporize anything, only get it if you want your stuff to go POOOOOOF!!!

Really?

what i love about this product is how even a vape u get. no burn whatsoever. and it heats up slowly.. literally takes forever before u have vapor once the battery is pushed in.. then another few seconds while dragging and u can pull the battery out and finish that rip. there is hardly any smell with this unit, and my unit does not get hot outside and the battery does not get hot either. the only downside is the battery life.. but i think with the way i smoke with it i can pull at least 20 rips off a single battery... and i only fill the trench halfway so i conserve my blend

Safe?

I do not own one of these, yet, but I did get a chance to hold one. It has an acrylic lid and a metallic pan to heat the herb. I'd feel better if the lid was glass like the mouth piece.
